Canberra has a lot of places of interest to visitors. I visited the Australian War Memorial, Museum of Australian Democracy, Portrait Gallery, Australian Archives, and National Gallery. I used the public bus system to get around. Ensure that you check the bus timetable, as buses do not run very frequently.

Lots of things to see - Museum, art gallery etc, all close to each other. Some things are further afield and worth seeing, so a car is very useful/necessary. I discovered the buses don't take cash and I would have to apply for a travel card 7-10 days in advance to get it in the mail! They don't take credit cards either (apparently that is coming in November 2024, but not much use to me when my friends weren't able to give me a lift as planned!) I can't believe a city that wants visitors makes it IMPOSSIBLE to go anywhere by bus or light train!Jean - 8.0Scored 8.0

Very relax place to just explore and take a break away with some interesting places to see and visit for different reasons. Also there are plenty of outdoor things to do, did go Mountain biking as the tracks are awesome. Worth a visit, when you can

Canberra is a wonderful city to visit. Heaps to see and do with some fabulous restaurants. Gorgeous in the Autumn, especially on the lake. Take into account there is a lot of construction happening in the city so some attractions like the War Memorial are a bit less than they can be. Love Canberra. Used to live in Canberra and now retired to the country. Still visit Canberra regularly due to family still living there. Lot of people give Canberra lots of negativity, but the city is beautiful and a great place to visit.

The rooms were excellent and the staff very friendly and very helpful. Location (near Lonsdale St) and parking were excellent. The below ground parking was generous and easy to access.
